How to use 316 Stainless Steel Clip
Wrap & Loop
- Feed the stainless steel band through the buckle (single or double wrap).
- Wrap it around the object, pass the tail back through the buckle, and bend the tail underneath to prevent slipping.
Load Tool
- Lift the tool's gripper lever.
- Insert the band tail through the nose slot and feed it into the gripper as far as it goes.
- Position the buckle firmly against the front nose of the tool.
Apply Tension
- Hold the band steady at the buckle.
- Turn the tension handle clockwise until the band stops sliding through the buckle. Stop turning here to avoid snapping.
Roll and Compensate
- Roll the entire tool backward (over the top of the buckle).
- Back off the tension handle counter-clockwise by about half a turn to a full turn to create slack and prevent the band from breaking.
Cut and Lock
- Pull the cutter lever up firmly to shear off the excess band tail.Hammer the "ears" of the 316 stainless steel buckle tightly down over the remaining band stub to lock it in place.
- Remove the tool.
